AT&T today announced that the company has launched their faster LTE network in eleven additional markets: New York City metro area; Austin; Chapel Hill; Los Angeles; Oakland; Orlando; Phoenix; Raleigh; San Diego; San Francisco and San Jose. These launches join AT&T's existing footprint of fifteen markets which included Athens, Ga.; Atlanta; Baltimore; Boston; Charlotte; Chicago; Dallas-Fort Worth; Houston; Indianapolis; Kansas City; Las Vegas; Oklahoma City; San Antonio; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Washington, DC. While AT&T's LTE footprint covers 74 million consumers in 26 markets, they're still playing catch up to Verizon, who's LTE network operates (usually) in over 200 markets. AT&T says their LTE deployment should be completed by the end of 2013.
